Instagram now has native "portrait mode" on Android and iOS

The Instagram announced today (10) that the 39.0 version of its app for Android and iOS is bringing an interesting new feature: native portrait mode directly on the Instagram camera. This way, you no longer need to use the portrait mode of your device's system to only take the image to share on the social network. In addition to photos, the Instagram portrait mode also works with videos, which makes the tool even more attractive.

This feature is being added to the platform as a camera mode. This way, it will be accessible under the capture button of the app, next to the SuperZoom. The name of the new tool is "Focus".

It is worth noting, however, that not all smartphones available on the market will be compatible with the feature. On the Apple side, only devices like the iPhone 6s and newer will have the novelty. On Google's side , Instagram has not released a list, saying only that we will have a "selection of Android devices" compatible with the novelty. In this case, we can imagine that the app is only supporting the top line of the market that runs the Robot. Anyway, the new version of the app is now available to download both in the  Play Store and in the App Store .

The second novelty released today by Instagram is running only on the social network app for iOS. Users of the Apple platform will now be able to book friends on Stories with a new sticker.
